Bitter Sweet - Now What?

"We are in a new dawn of leadership..." echoed from our President elect Barack Obama in his presidential acceptance speach. The voice of the people has been heard and our nation has picked the one to lead this nation for the next 4 years. The first African-American president to ever be elected as the Commander and Chief of the United States of America.

As a minority, I am estatic and rejoice for this great accomlplishment but simultaneously my heart is deeply burdened that we, as a nation, are moving further and further away from our Creator God. Compromise, unsanctified justice, personal success and satisfaction rule over the values and the Biblical standards of Truth which is the foundation of Life. Is there hope? Absolutely! As Christians, we must soak this land with the prayers of the righteous because it avails much! We must continue to stand in the gap and make intercession as Jesus is doing. We must follow our Great Intercessor and join with Him - Oh how he loves this nation!

This is the hour where the church must decide the fate of this nation. We can continue to point our fingers and judge, blame and give excuses on why, what and how or we can take the responsibilty of the spiritual climate of this nation by getting on our knees to pray and cry out for mercy.

Although The Call was powerful and the impact, immeasuable, November 1 was just the beginning. We must continue to fast and pray for our nation. It is not time to shrink back. What actions must the church take in this hour?

1.) We must honor our new President!
2.) Pray protection for President elect Brack Obama and the rest of the family!
3.) Pray for God's wisdom to rest upon President elect Obama!
4.) Pray that Salvation comes to the White House
5.) Pray for the protection of this blessed nation - USA!
6.) Pray for righteous judges to be appointed in our US Supreme Court!
7.) Pray for Mercy!
8.) Pray God's will be done on earth as it is in Heaven!

I thank God for the freedom and liberty we have in this nation. May we continue to move forward and live our lives based upon the foundation on which we were created. Lets continue to pray pray and pray that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob would bring healing to this nation.
